WinTeX XP makes editing of TeX files easy and fast. You get all the power of TeX and the usability of Word at the same time. You start by creating your TeX file using templates that you can easily predefine. When editing your TeX file you have easy access to all TeX commands by just a mouseclick. If you don't remember how to use a certain TeX command you can simply call the context sensitive online help to assist you. Due to the intelligent syntax highlighting of your TeX document you never lose track of where you are. Use the built in structure view to get an overview of the structure of your document and jump directly to a chapter or section. The Live-Spell technology immediately shows you when you spelled something wrong. Create and format your tables with the built in table editor. Access templates for often used command sequences with just a key stroke. You can even extend the editor with your own functionality by using macros written in VB Script. When you want to compile and view your document this again is just a matter of a mouse click. The TeX compiler is executed in a shell within WinTeX XP so that you have full control over the output. The log file can be browsed by error type and you can directly jump to the source of the error in your document with just a mouse click. Use the built in BIBTeX editor to easily edit your BIB files and directly insert citations in your document with a click. |
